GUEST ARTIST ALEJANDRA GUTIÉRREZ BRINGS THE DIRTY MIND TO LIFE IN SFSX #3 HITTING STORES THIS NOVEMBER FROM IMAGE COMICS

The upcoming issue of SfSx #3 by Tina Horn will showcase the talents of guest artist Alejandra Gutiérrez and focus on a behind-the-scenes look at underground club, The Dirty Mind. SfSx #3 will hit stores in November from Image Comics and regular series artist Michael Dowling will return for SfSx #4 in December.

“From the moment I first saw Alejandra’s story in Twisted Romance, I knew I wanted to write an issue of SfSx especially for her!” said Horn. “She’s got a real gift for both sight gags and pop eroticism. Issue 3 of SfSx is the sexiest story yet, and Alejandra did a fantastic job illustrating the utopia behind the dystopia. It’s safe to say this is the FIRST EVER comic with queer sex work themes both written and illustrated by queer women who are out sex workers. I’m so glad to be breaking that ground with Alejandra and Image!”

In SfSx #3, readers take a tour of this decadent underworld just as its denizens realize they need to take a stand for everything they believe in.

Gutiérrez added: “Oh my god, getting the chance to draw this issue, and do work that sort of marries two parts of my life in a fun and exciting way, like hello? Amazing, and it’s like actually good? That’s hot. I really love doing work that feels episodic and self contained while still being part of a bigger story, and it was fun to draw some of my real friends and sex workers I know in this issue.”

SfSx is a social thriller about sex, love, and torture that reads like Sex Criminals in Gilead crossed with Hustlers—with a Sunstone twist. In a draconian America where sexuality is bureaucratized and policed, a group of queer sex workers keep the magic alive in an underground club called the Dirty Mind. Using their unique bondage skills, they resolve to infiltrate the mysterious government Pleasure Center, free their friends, and fight the power.
